2. What we collect
If you fill in a survey booking form on this website, we ask for:
- your name;
- your postcode;
- your telephone number and email address;
- which technologies you are interested in, and the property type;
- anything else you choose to tell us in the free-text box.
We do not ask for financial information on this website, and we do not take payments through it. We do not use this website to collect special-category data.
3. Why we collect it, and on what basis
We use the information you give us to respond to your enquiry, to arrange and carry out a free home survey, and to prepare and send you a quotation. The lawful basis for this is that the processing is necessary in order to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and, where a contract follows, to perform it.
We will not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to.
4. Who we share it with
We share your information only where we need to in order to do the work: with our own engineers and surveyors, and with the suppliers, certification bodies and scheme operators involved in your installation, such as MCS, where registration of the installation requires it.
We do not sell your data. Personal information is not transferred outside the UK without suitable safeguards.
5. How long we keep it
Arktek apply strict checks to determine the length of time information is held, and keep personal information in a form that permits identification for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed.
6. Your rights
Arktek’s policy commits to ensuring that the rights of people about whom information is held can be fully exercised. You have the right:
- to be informed that processing is being undertaken;
- to access the personal information we hold about you;
- to have inaccurate information corrected, blocked or erased;
- to prevent processing in certain circumstances;
- to object to processing, and to request that it is restricted;
- to data portability, where the processing is carried out by automated means.
